Thoughts on Outcomes and Tests

The object of this is for the students to learn the names of the other students. I will have assessed the writing stages of the students, i.e. scribble, minor control, etc. I will also assess whether or not they can hold a writing instrument. I will also learn how the student sees them-self, this can say a lot about the student. Since these are Preschoolers then an essay would not be appropriate.

When working with preschool children I have learned that you can learn a lot from the little things that they do. Their ability to hold  a writing instrument, how they see themselves and whether or not they can remember what you tell them or show them. I have tried this activity once, unfortunately I did it without a lesson plan. (This is something that I advise against.) I would love to build a lesson plan with this idea that would work. I did learn many things about my students with this project, however not as much as I would have liked.
