Final Paper - Preschool: Shapes and Colors Bingo



Grade Level: Preschool
SHAPES and COLORS BINGO
Classroom will be divided into 4-5 equal groups.
Objectives: Cognitive, Linguistic, Physical & Motor Development.
1.      Shape recognition
2.      Color recognition
3.      Fine motor skills: holding writing implement in hand, cut paper using safety scissors, place black dot on bingo/shape card.
4.      Individual thinking and decision making.
Vocabulary Words: bingo, red, blue, yellow, orange, green, triangle, square, circle, oval, rectangle, diamond, star, octagon, crescent/moon, heart.
Bingo instructions
1.      Color the bingo cards the following colors:
1.1.   B – Blue
1.2.   I – Yellow
1.3.   N – Red
1.4.   G – Green
1.5.   O – Orange
2.      Cut out the four bingo/shape cards out.
3.      Cut out the call sheet and put the squares into a bowl.
4.      Use the round black dots to cover the shapes as you call them out to your group of students.
Assessment
1.      Students will be able to identify the appropriate shape as it is called out at a 85% - 95%  accuracy level.
2.      Student will be able to identify the appropriate color as it is called out at a 85% - 95%  accuracy level.
3.      The students will cut paper in a straight line with safety scissors.
4.      Student will think and make own decision as to the correct answer.


*Restraints: Students may not ask for assistance. If a student does ask for assistance the adult will however encourage the students to think on his or her own.
